joshua and i recently went down to san diego, california for our friends wedding (which was so great!!). it was my first time in san diego and it didn't take me long to fall in love with the city / palm tress / sunshine. not only did i get to spend six days with the man i love so dearly but i got to see all of his favourite places he used to go, and i got to meet all of his amazing friends. and i got to do it all in the warm sun of a beautiful city. it really couldn't have been better than that!
i was a huge gift that josh and i could make it to the wedding. with our $113 (roundtrip) plane tickets, it was unbelievable. we spent lots of time hanging out with dear friends, and going to the beach. somehow, looking back though all of our photo's, at some point along our trip both josh and i morphed into nature/wildlife photographers... strange. so here they are.
we were happy. really we were.. it was just really really sunny.
so this is zavy (i think that's how you spell it). and she is very old. and probably very close to doggy heaven. so i had to get some pictures of her, cos i think she's cute.
this squirrel became my buddy. he/she was brave. and i tricked him/her and lured it with grass and it came and ate it. and it was exciting. i didn't even get rabies or anything..
wow. san diego. such a beautiful place. no?
joshua and i still had a couple of hours before we had to be back at the rental car place and on our way home, so we went to Balboa Park. there was a lady there with her two pet turtles that she just let wander. like the true wildlife photographers that we were... we had to film/photograph these guys. this one in particular, really liked us..
so there it is. i told you it was mostly of animals. i was sad i didn't get any pictures of the wedding, but we were both too busy having a blast with friends that we don't get to see very often.
to sum things up.. it was such a huge gift that we were able to go and be a part of ryan and jenny's wedding. and as if that wasn't amazing enough it had to be in the amazingness of san diego.
we hope to be going back soon.
