We talk about it with our couples all the time, but we really love location scouting. Rain or shine we love any excuse to spend the day together exploring Vancouver, but the longer we're been photographers the harder it is finding places we're never photographed. Enter new challenge. Recently we're loved going to some of our favourite spots around Vancouver that we would normally just hang out and finding spots that we could use for photoshoot locations. It's been forcing us to view our surroundings differently and we're so excited with the results. Deep Cove has been one of those places that we're visited for many years, let's be honest, for the donuts and for the best deep-dish pizza place but never had we explored the forest and trails around it. Add in two gorgeous people and BANG. Magic. That's all I need to say, enjoy these.
All week we've been preparing ourselves for rain. Extra location scouting to find sheltered spots.. check. Buy extra umbrellas.. check. Then we wake up early Saturday to find the sun blinding me through our windows. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. Everything seemed to fall perfectly into place for Scott and Allison's wedding day and I'm so excited to share these photographs with you. Stay tuned for more soon!
We turn into toddlers who've been let loose in a candy store when we get to take photographs during golden hour. Yesterday, by far, was the best lighting we've had all year for bride and groom portraits. Gavin and Chrissy couldn't have picked a better time of day to have their wedding over looking the ocean at the Stanley Park Tea House. And to sprinkle more amazingness on the day, Chrissy wore a stunner from Truvelle. So excited to share more photographs, but for now here is a little peek into this wonderful wedding.

As you can tell from the photographs below, it was almost impossible to stop these two from smiling. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard during a shoot. Normally it's my job or more often, Josh's job, to make people laugh but with these two it was the other way around. I had to consciously think about holding the camera up to my eyes. Keep your eyes out for the full post because I have so many more photographs to share with you all. I'm excited for their Roundhouse wedding this January.
