This is the second time these two have graced our blog, the first being their engagement session photographed by myself and my amazing sister (in-law) Aly. Well fast forward three years, and switch out the sisters, and you have Wes and Katrina's wedding day. Becky and I could not stop gushing how amazing their wedding day was. The weather was perfect, the venue was stunning, the bride breath-taking, the groom as dapper as can be, and the love overflowing. It was truly and honour to photograph this special day. Here's a little peek into Wes and Katrina's wedding day.
November in Vancouver is a hard month to plan a wedding if you're hoping for sun. Today was anything but a normal Vancouver day. Two incredible people were married under the bright sun. I can't wait to share more images with you all, but for now, here is a preview of a few photographs from Hope and Jared's stunning wedding day.
Rebecca and Brandon - GG Vancouver Wedding Photographers
We had a ridiculously good time photographing these two. Their wedding was in a huge catholic church in Langley, complete with stained glass, granite, marble, the whole sha-bang. We had a bossy priest who told us what we could and couldn't photograph. It was fun. He was pretty spunky. And very old.. which led to a very long ceremony. Long but completely beautiful ceremony.
Then we got to hang out and shoot this amazing couple. They're reception location was in the super quaint, Old Clayburn Village Schoolhouse. There wasn't a single detail that wasn't draped with flowers Rebecca and Branden grew themselves. Amazing.
Our favourite memory of their wedding day was when they were supposed to be going into the reception and instead they hopped in our car (only to have to do a twenty-point turn to get out) and we drove into the woods for a few more pictures (which ended up being some of our favourite images ever!)
Thats how we roll at Green Ginger Photography. What? You're supposed to be in your reception? People are waiting?
Nope. Couple more pics and we will make you famous.
Daniel and Corryn - GG Vancouver Wedding Photographers
These two are so cute. And their wedding was like hunter-meets-happy maiden explosion. They thought about the little details, like his and hers ice cream (after the ceremony), antlers and cowboy boots and lovely floral arrangements. This Vancouver wedding was a great privilege for us to photograph. Daniel and Corryn had a big (and rambunctious) bridal party that kept things fun and interesting… like when they decided to jump in the swimming pool during portraits! Or their wooing of the horses, or their dance moves during our pictures. We had fun. They had a blast.. and this was a wedding to remember.
You can see more of their beautiful faces at their engagement shoot here.
I'm as shocked as you are to hear me say those words. As much as I love me a giant bouquet of peonies, they're only in season for about a month here in Vancouver. So unless you're planning on shipping your flowers in from Sweden you're going to need something else. Our solution: english roses. They're floppy, full, and fantastic!
Being a wedding photographer I get the privilege of photographing a lot of wedding bouquets and Camille's bouquet is to die for. Complete with succulents, cotton, eucalyptus leaves, and pale pink english roses.
