Aimee and Aaron got married in a private estate in the backwoods of Langley. It was a stunning wedding. We love our home city of Vancouver, but once in a while its great to get out to the country and photograph a lovely wedding like this one. They were amazing. One of the most laid back couples we've ever worked with. Aimee looked gorgeous, Aaron was rocking a slick suit, the flowers were fantastic, the food was mind blowing. Heres a sneak peek.

I've been looking forward to sharing this wedding from this last summer with you all. It couldn't have been a more perfect day. The sun was shining and the couple was stunning. Josh and I had so much fun working with these two on their engagement session (that you can see here) and we knew there wedding was going to be even more amazing. Now you can see for yourself with the photographs below:

That's right friends, it's that time of year again! I may or may not have spent a good portion of my day yesterday watching 'White Christmas' and 'Holiday Inn' in preparation for this announcement. Too soon you say!?!? NO WAY!! My top three favourite Christmas movies are as follows:
In that order. And I pretty much watch them year round... Um... Now that you know a little bit more about me, and are probably questioning my sanity... let's get to the good stuff.
If you're new to this concept of the so called 'Christmas Extravaganza' it is our one day 50% off our regular price portrait session! Check out YEAR ONE (where we froze our naughty bits off for the sake of some pretty dope pictures) and YEAR TWO (where we learned from our mistakes and invaded the amazing and very cozy space over at Spruce Collective.)
Good. Now that you've seen those, let's move onto YEAR THREE! We are so excited to be hosting our, just in time for christmas, portrait photo shoots in the Green Ginger home studio! Our toes will be warm and dry and our bellies will be full with yummy snacks. Not to mention the abundant streams of coffee and tea. And of course we haven't forgot about your wee ones, shows and toys galore!
Onto the details!

As I've confessed in earlier posts, I have an unusual love for flowers (plants included.) That being said, I don't particularly have a green thumb. I may or may not be known as a bit of a plant killer. I think 2013 may be the first year that I've begun to get the hang of growing things rather than killing them. I have a thriving herb garden complete with mint, dill, cilantro, parsley, basil. As well as poppies, wild flowers and peonies.
I'm all about bringing the outside in. That brings me to my newest obsession. Air plants. Also known as Tillandsia. They're plants that grow without soil while often times attaching themselves onto other plants. There are over 540 different species of which I have 8. My favourite we've named Nathan (pictured top right, middle left and bottom center.) He's 15 years old. Not all air plants live this long Nathan is just a special kind. I've had him for 4 months and he's still alive!! This is a good sign.
Most of my air plants I got from one of my favourite flower shops, Olla. It's an inspiring space to visit. So if you're in the area, I highly recommend you check it out!
