After a week filled with rain the heavens opened and Lucas and Kaela's wedding day was sunny perfection. Set in Kaela's childhood home out in Chilliwack we were excited to take a break from the Vancouver scenery and embrace the country landscapes. Here's just a quick peek at yesterday's wedding goodness.
David and Camille - Vancouver wedding photographers
We are so excited to share this wedding with you all. These are so many amazing details jammed packed into David and Camille's wedding day that we had to break it into two posts. This first is their wedding morning and ceremony. Their wedding ceremony is easily one of my favourites. An arch hand made by the groom settled in the middle of a hazelnut grove, a vintage Rolls-Royce for the bride to arrive, a song the groom wrote and sung for his bride, flowers petals to celebrate their union. Not a single detail was missed. Josh and I were honoured to be able to photograph this day. Enjoy and be inspired by this incredible Vancouver wedding..
This beautiful wedding was at the Heritage Hall on Main Street in Vancouver. Most brides want sunshine on their wedding day, but living in the Pacific Northwest sunshine is far from a guarantee. The age ol' saying, April showers bring May flowers. You may think that waking up on your wedding day to dumping rain, one might panic. But I've never seen a calmer bride than Katrina. A little rain wasn't going to stop her from enjoying every second of her wedding day. Sure enough, the day was absolutely amazing. I'll never forget Matt's huge grin as he saw his bride for the first time. And don't even get me started on the bridal party. The places we made them go, and the things we made them do, and the cold we made them stand in. They didn't complain once, instead they were excited to be there for their dear friends and would do pretty much anything for them. Josh and I were just returning from London and what a way to kick off the year. We'll never for get this day or the amazing people we got to know.
Matt and Katrina, thanks for having us be a part of your incredible wedding day!
Also have to do a little shout out to OLFCO for the stunning flowers. Katrina's bouquet might just have been my favourite of the year.
Vancouver wedding photographers. Justin and April
Today everything fell together so perfectly. Even the light seemed to glow just a bit brighter. Justin and April planned a magical wedding and we were so excited to be there to photograph it. April's wedding dress was made by a local designer named Gaby from Truvelle. The most elegant accessories by The Borrowed Collection. Justin looked like he was moonlighting for Leonardo DiCaprio in the Great Gatsby with his suit tailor made by Indochino. A venue as incredible as the Tea House in Vancouver's Stanley Park. Stunning Florals by Sa Belle Vie. I couldn't have imagined a better wedding to photograph. Here are just a few pictures from the wedding day.
Aimee and Aaron got married in a private estate in the backwoods of Langley. It was a stunning wedding. We love our home city of Vancouver, but once in a while its great to get out to the country and photograph a lovely wedding like this one. They were amazing. One of the most laid back couples we've ever worked with. Aimee looked gorgeous, Aaron was rocking a slick suit, the flowers were fantastic, the food was mind blowing. Heres a sneak peek.
